Langtang region

The northern land of mystical heaven, Langtang, is one of many valleys on the plateau of north-central Nepal, The Himalayan Region. Situated 80 kilometers north of the Kathmandu Valley, Langtang is known for its expansive high meadows that are habituated by numerous wild species, such as the musk deer and the Himalayan Tahr.

It is rich in culture with a high influx of Tamangs, Sherpas, and Hyolmo indigenous neighborhoods. Their warm hospitality, unique lifestyles, cultures, customs, thatched houses, and stone roofs will offer you an inside view of the ethnic lifestyle Himalayan people follow. Moreover, trekking in the Langtang valley offers an incredible amount of rich Himalayan landscape and breathtaking views of rich greenery.

The Langtang trek is one of Nepal’s most accessible hiking routes. The scenery is breathtaking, from a low-level jungle with trees and monkeys to high-altitude glaciers and ice peaks. Short, however, does not mean simple. The Langtang Tour in Nepal begins with a challenging climb. As is characteristic of Nepalese trekking, trekkers will face multiple long and steep ascents.

You can trek in Nepal’s Langtang valley independently or as part of a Tamang Heritage tour. You can also use the Langtang route to prepare for a more challenging and long journey. When you’ve finished the Langtang trek, consider trekking to Everest Base Camp or the Annapurna Circuit.
