Tamang Heritage Trek is one of those treks that will take you to explore the country’s beauty in depth. You will be able to see the historical civilizations of Nepal, which still hold heritage value.

Our objective will be to explore the valley of Langtang and its civilizations. Many ethnic groups dominate certain villages. So, we will explore the area where Tamang ethnic group resides.

1 Arrival at Kathmandu City

Once you arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport, we will receive you with warm greetings and a short introduction with our team members. We will drop you at your hotel and let you relax for the day. You can also go to explore the city at nighttime.

2 Drive to Syabrubesi

Today, we will commence our journey toward North, where the Langtang Valley is situated. It is a 7-hour-long journey, and you can see many exciting sceneries along the drive to Syabrubesi. The most beautiful scenes are of mountains that lie in the Langtang region. We will stay overnight at Syabrubesi.

3 Syabrubesi to Gatlang Trek

Syabrubesi is the typical starting point for the Langtang Valley trek and the Gosainkund trek. Still, instead of heading in these directions, we will ascend toward a viewpoint for a fantastic view of Ganesh Himal, the Gosainkund range, and the Goljang Valley.

Then, we will head down to the Goljang Valley and stop there for lunch. In the afternoon, we will trek for about three hours to reach Gatlang, a beautiful Tamang village.

4 Gatlang to Tatopani Trek

Today’s trek begins by descending to Thangbuchet, from where, after lunch, the route heads up, across a hanging bridge, and climbing to Tatopani. The town’s name means “hot water” in Nepali, and there are towns of this name all over Nepal.

Indeed, you can enjoy the natural hot springs with water that comes straight out of the ground. The locals believe that the waters have a healing quality, and they will undoubtedly ease away any aches and pains from the trek.

5 Tatopani to Thuman Trek

Today, the route ascends to Nagthali Danda, a high, open grassland with amazing views of the Himalayas. We will stop at the delightful village of Brimdang for lunch en route, then continue up to Nagthali Danda.

On arrival, we can stop by for a tea prepared by the gompa’s caretaker. Then, resume down to Thuman, a Tamang village with friendly people who love to sing and dance.

6 Thuman to Briddam Trek

On this day, our trek starts along a flatter section of the trail, then descends to Timure. After our lunch in Timure, we will continue our walk along the path to Briddim, another Tamang village.

Here, you’ll stay in a local home for a local experience. Those local houses will provide you with all the necessary accommodations on a rotational basis

7 Briddim to Syabrubesi Trek

Today, we will return to Syabrubesi after a 3-hour-long walk. Once we reach there, you will have the day by yourself. You can buy handmade souvenirs to take back home. You can also relax and enjoy your time peacefully.

8 Drive to Kathmandu

Finally, we will drive back to Kathmandu on the eighth day of our trip. We will have a 7-hour-long drive. So, you can relax on the bus and maybe even take a quick nap. You might be exhausted from all the trekking and socializing, so you can give it a rest today.

9 Departure from Kathmandu

It is now time for you to return home. We will drive you to the airport according to your scheduled flight. You will be returning home with tons of good memories and beautiful souvenirs.
