Itinerary

1 Arrival Day at Kathmandu

On the first day, your trip starts when we greet you at the Tribhuwan International Airport in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. Our crew cheerfully welcomes your entire group to our beautiful country.

Next, we will drop you at your cozy hotel after a short introduction with our crew members, where you’ll spend a blissful night. Finally, we will provide you with trekking instructions and help you prepare for the Everest Trekking in Nepal the same night.

2 Sightseeing in Kathmandu Part-1

Since it isn’t possible to cover all the famous places in Kathmandu within a day, we will only visit a few places first. Our destinations for today are; Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, and the Patan area. This exploration day will teach you many historical and religious facts about Nepal.

3 Sightseeing in Kathmandu Part-2

By now, you will already be amazed by the history of this city. However, there’s more you need to know about it. So, today we will take you to visit Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Again, this exploration will take you to intriguing information about Nepal’s history and religious importance.

4 Kathmandu to Lhasa Flight

Today, we will cross the borders and reach Tibet. Our journey will be via a flight to Lhasa from Kathmandu. Once you get to Lhasa Gonggar Airport, our Tibetian guide will receive you and explain some rules about Tibet. You can relax when he drops you at your comfy hotel.

5 Sightseeing in Lhasa

Today, you will explore the beautiful city of Tibet and go around its market to buy souvenirs. First, you will visit the Jokhang Temple, which is the primary monastery of Tibet. Then, you will see the market at Barkhor Street.

There’s also a monastery called Sera Monastery, where you will go to see the monk’s conflicts traditionally.

6 Lhasa to Ali Flight and Manasarovar Drive

We will have an early flight to Ali from Lhasa. The flight takes around one and half hours to arrive. However, the scenic beauty will amaze you throughout the flight. Once we reach Ali, we will drive to Manasarovar for around three hours. The holy bath and puja depend on our schedule, so if we don’t get there in time, there’s always tomorrow.

7 Morning Puja and Drive to Darchen

Today, you will attend an early morning puja, and the pandit will perform homa around 8 a.m. After three hours of homa, we will have lunch and drive toward Darchen. Darchen is the Base Camp of Mt. Kailash.

8 Yemadwar Drive and Kailash Parikrama

We will start our Kailash Parikrama today. However, first, we will drive to Yemadwar and walk toward Dirapuk. If you can’t walk for too long, you can take a horse; it will cost some extra bucks. When we reach Dirapuk, we will stay overnight at a guesthouse.

9 Mt. Kailash to Dirapuk

We will start the Kora today and touch the feet of Mt. Kailash. Next, we will travel 35 kilometers from Lake Manasarovar to Darchen. Again, we will drive to Yam Dwar and travel to Dirapuk.

10 Julthulpuk from Dirapuk, and Drive back to Darchen

Today is the second and the longest day of Kora. We will walk uphill toward Dolma La Pass to reach Julthulpuk. Once we get to Dolma La Pass, we will head to Julthulpuk and begin our returning journey as we’ve completed the Kora. Drive back to Darchen, and we will rest for the night.

11 Rest Day at Darchen

Since you’ve walked a long way during the whole Kora, you deserve some rest. So, you will do nothing but rest this day in your comfy hotel room. Maybe some local tea from Tibet will freshen you up.

12 Perform Inner Kora

Today we will perform the inner Kora as we take a horse ride to Asthapath. Then, we will walk to Atmalingam via Nandi and visit the Saptarishi Cave. We will return to Darchen through Asthapath and stay there for the night.

13 Drive to Ali

Since we’ve started our returning journey, we will first return to Ali. We will take a vehicle and drive toward our destination. Once we reach Ali, you can explore around or rest for the day in your comfy hotel room.

14 Return to Kathmandu

Now, we will depart from Al to Lhasa. Then, our guide will assist you toward the airport so you can board the flight to Kathmandu. Two long flights will be exhausting, but you’ve completed a sacred journey, which will spiritually energize you.

15 Departure from Kathmandu

On the last day, you will be returning home. We will drop you at the Tribhuwan International Airport according to your scheduled time and bid you farewell. You will have a lot of beautiful memories and souvenirs to take home from your trip to Mt. Kailash.
