Everest Base Camp Trek With Lobuche Peak climb is yet another fantastic trekking package to enjoy the Everest Region in Nepal. This trip takes you to the highest peak in the world ad lets you summit one of the great peaks, Lobuche Peak. 

Your journey begins at the heart of Nepal, Kathmandu city. Here, we will explore many UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Pashupatinath, Bouudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Durbar Squares. Then, we will enter the Everest Region via a flight to Lukla to begin our trekking journey. 

One can witness the high peaks of the Everest Region from far away as we approach Everest Base Camp. The entire journey will be blissful as the scenery will keep you going for more beautiful ones. Moreover, Mt. Everest, aka, the Roof of the world is already a motivation for dedicated trekkers.

Itinerary

1 Arrival & transfer to the hotel

On your first day, we will receive you at the Tribhuwan International Airport in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. We heartily welcome you to our beautiful country. After a brief introduction with our team members, we will drop you at your cozy hotel, where you’ll be spending the night.

2 Kathmandu city sightseeing (Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath temple & Boudhanath stupa (Preparation for the mountain trip)

The following day, we will take you sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley. We will only be able to cover the major tourist attractions sights. You will be fascinated by the historical and religious heritage sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Bauddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and many more.

3 Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and Phakding Trek

The following morning, we’ll have an early flight to Lukla, which will take around 35 minutes to reach. Moreover, you’ll experience a beautiful sight of the mountain region of Nepal on your way. 

After the secure and adventurous flight, we’ll start our trek to Phakding, coming across many local villages with incredible views of the highest peaks. Ultimately, we’ll stay for the night in Phakding, exploring the mountain cultures and the delicacy of authentic Nepali food.

4 Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar

After a refreshing breakfast, we’ll begin our trek to the famous Namche Bazaar the following sunrise. Although we will start our walk on a flat surface, we will gradually trek the uphill valley, followed by a downhill. Then, we’ll walk along the path through lovely pine forests and the Dudh Koshi river to Monjo Village. 

Here, we’ll see Mt. Everest’s gorgeous, frosty scenery from a distance once we climb Namche Bazaar. We’ll spend the night and relax after a long tiring day.

5 Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar

This rest day will allow you to acclimate to the altitude of the capital of the Khumbu region, Namche Bazaar. Hence, hiking in the same area as Khumjung or a two-hour climb to the Everest View Hotel (3880 m) would be an excellent beginning to adapt your body to a higher altitude.

6 Namche to Debuche (visit Tengboche monastery)

Today, we will trek to our next destination in Debuche. We will pass through many small monasteries and stupas on our way. The trail has its ups and downs but we will get a clear view of Mt. Everest today. Moreover, we will visit the ancient Tengboche monastery and pay our respects. The environment there is peaceful and you will enjoy the day.

7 Trek to Dingboche

We will now ascend to Dingboche, our next destination. After breakfast, we will begin our trekking journey and walk the challenging trail to Pheriche. We will cross many small ethnic villages on our way and stop for a cup of tea. Again, our trekking trail consists of endless panoramic views of the Everest Region.

8 Acclimatization day (Hike to Ngakajang Peak)

We have now ascended over 4400 meters altitude. So, we will take this day to acclimatize to the climate, altitude, and environment. We will also take a short hike to Ngakajang Peak to keep our bodies warm.

9 Trek to Lobuche

We’ll resume our journey the following morning after breakfast. Walking through the snow-capped ridges of Cholatse and Tabuchi, we will climb steeply on the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. During the trek, we will find memorials of Sherpa climbers who lost their lives mounting the beautiful peaks. 

Then, after a few hours of strolling through the valley, we’ll reach our destination for the day, Lobuche, where we’ll stay for the night.

10 Trek to Gorakshep and EBC

Finally, after all, your tribulations and dedication for eight days straight, you’ll come across your dream destination, the Everest Base Camp, on the ninth day. However, foremost, you must cross the Khumbu Glacier, reaching Gorakshep. After this, the trip gets more challenging; you’ll be walking through rocky landscapes and icefalls. 

Nevertheless, it will be worth it once you see the spectacular views of the mountain range from the Everest Base Camp. Afterward, we’ll descend to Gorakshep to spend the fantastic and relaxing cold night.

11 Hike to Kala Patthar & continue to Lobuche

Today is a demanding but rewarding day that involves hiking to Kala Patthar and then continuing to Lobuche. Kala Patthar is a popular viewpoint located at an elevation of 5,550 meters, offering stunning views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. 

The hike to Kala Patthar is a steep ascent that takes about 2-3 hours, and the views from the top are truly breathtaking. After reaching Kala Patthar, you will then continue your trek to Lobuche, which is located at an elevation of 4,940 meters. The trek from Kala Patthar to Lobuche typically takes about 4-5 hours and involves a gradual ascent through rough terrain.

12 Lobuche to Highcamp

The trek from Lobuche to Lobuche High Camp typically takes about 4-5 hours and is a gradual ascent through rough terrain. Along the way, you will cross several streams and pass through small villages, offering a chance to interact with the locals and learn about their culture and way of life. You will also have the opportunity to see stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, including the majestic Mount Everest.

13 Sumit Lobuche then descent to Thugla

Finally, we will summit the peak today. Lobuche Peak offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, including the majestic Mount Everest. The climb to the summit of Lobuche Peak is challenging and takes several hours, but the views from the top are truly breathtaking. 

After reaching the summit of Lobuche Peak, you will then begin your descent to Thugla, a small village located at an altitude of 4,620 meters. The descent from Lobuche Peak to Thugla typically takes about 4-5 hours and involves a steep descent through rough terrain.

14 Thugla to Deboche

Today, we will trek the returning trail from Thugla to Deboche. Along the way, you will cross several streams and pass through small villages, offering a chance to interact with the locals and learn about their culture and way of life. The trail also provides stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, including the majestic Mount Everest.

15 Deboche to Jorsalle

The trek from Deboche to Jorsalle typically takes about 5-6 hours and is a steep descent through rough terrain. Along the way, you will cross the Imja Khola River and pass through lush forests of rhododendron and bamboo, offering a chance to experience the diverse flora and fauna of the region. You will also have the opportunity to see stunning views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, including the majestic Mount Everest.

16 Jorsalle to Lukla

We’ll celebrate our successful and fun trek to the Everest Base Camp. After you descend to Lukla, coming across Dudh Koshi River, you’ll observe your victorious trek along with your trekking team members.

17 Fly to Kathmandu

Finally, you’ll return to Kathmandu on the seventeenth day of your trek. After around 40 minutes of the flight back to Kathmandu, you’ll arrive at your comfy hotel, where you can rest for the day. You can also take your time to explore the city on the last day. We’ll have a goodbye dinner at night with the whole trekking team.

18 Departure from Kathmandu

Lastly, you’ll be returning home after a long yet excellent trek. Following your scheduled flight, we’ll drive you to the Tribhuwan International Airport. In case you have any other plans to stay longer, we’ll gladly spend more time traveling and guiding you through our country if you love our assistance.
