2 Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu's Cultural Heritage Sites

Today, we’ll see some of Kathmandu’s most important historical sites. These historical sites have been designated as Nepal’s UNESCO world heritage sites. Swayambhunath stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath temple are the sights you’ll see today. 3 Fly to Lukla and then trek to Phakding for 3 hours.

Today we will fly to Lukla Airport and climb up to Phakding. The flight is exciting since it leads you to one of the world’s most dangerous airports. The trip from Kathmandu Airport takes only 35 minutes and is full of suspense as it passes high, attractive cliffs.

When you arrive in Lukla, you will begin your journey to Phakding. We’ll pass through numerous rural and traditional settlements along the road, including Cheplung and Khumbila, with Kusum Kangraru and other peaks as constant companions. Finally, along the Dudh Koshi river, the journey descends to the town of Phakding. This day, we’ll come to a halt at Phakding.

We’ll leave Phakding and travel to Namche Bazaar, a major trading center. You’ll pass through towns like Jorsale and Monjo to Namche Bazaar. Both settlements display an exuberant Sherpa way of life to visitors.

After hours of traveling through stunning alpine landscapes, rivers, and communities in Sagarmatha National Park, you will arrive at Namche Bazaar, the “Gateway of Everest.” A vast number of wild creatures and vegetation call the national park home. Namche Bazaar will be our next stop.

8 Dingboche Rest Day, Duration: 5 Hours

Today marks the start of another leg of our adventure. Before tackling the two main days of the journey, an acclimatization day at Dingboche is ideal. So taking a day off here will help your body prepare for the higher-altitude excursions. On this day, you can go hiking in Nagarjun.

It is located at an altitude of 5,100 meters above sea level and provides a breathtaking view of the Chhukung valley. The ascent is rugged, steep, and demands a lot of energy. However, after a few hours of hiking, we will reach the hill’s summit, from where you will have a fantastic view of Kangtega, Ama Dablam, Taboche, Lobuche east, and many more beautiful peaks.

9 5-Hour Trek To Lobuche (4,910m/16,105ft)

We’ll leave town and make our way to Dhungla. We go through the Khumbu glacier moraine on our way to Lobuche. On the trip to Lobuche, you can observe mountains like Lingtren, Pumori, Nuptse, Khumbtse, and others. The settlement of Dingboche will be our resting place for the day.
